We hosted a special gathering of extended family for a Sunday brunch, and I was struck by the ochre-yellow mid-century flower vase next to my son's girlfriend's plum-colored water bottle. I loved the color combination and so it inspired this painting.
Inspiration can truly come from anywhere and that's what I love about my art practice (well, one of the many things!).
