Settled Soul
Acrylic and Ink on Paper
This is one of those more magical pieces that began not as a painting but as sheet of paper to wipe off extra paint from whatever paintings I was working on. Then, I noticed it come to life, added some ink drawings with Posca pens, and intentionally played with it until I had created a painting.
Someone who I thought was legit, asked for a commission based on this, so I made two more Settled Soul paintings. It turned out to be a scam, but I enjoyed painting them anyway.
I love creating interesting moments within a painting that hold your interest and hopefully create moments where you see something new almost every time you look at it.
